Our two year old program is designed around the understanding that at this age, each toddler is now developing their own independence and new ways to express their needs. Two year olds are encouraged to make independent choices, develop self-help skills and begin to solve problems. They also practice listening skills and through our large group activities learn to be part of a group and follow directions.

Activities include music and movement, outdoor play, practical life and sensory activities, arts and crafts, story and sharing times, dramatic play, and lots of laughter. We strive to meet your child’s physical, intellectual, social, and emotional needs. We feel children learn best in a loving, organized, natural learning environment. Your child will learn something new everyday by being a part of our extended family. Your child will learn important values such as patience, sharing, responsibility, compassion for self and others, communication, and teamwork. Your child will also learn how to paint, play with dough, cut with scissors, color with crayons, and the beginning stages of reading. Your child will always be encouraged to use his/her imagination while creating artwork, manipulating his/her own ideas and thoughts on paper, or other concrete materials.

Classroom

The two year old room is set up in a “home-like” environment. It provides a spacious classroom for crafts and snack, play area with different toy stations, cubby and coat areas, and separate restroom for potty training ease.

Safety & Training

Our team, made of highly passionate and qualified caregivers, is certified in CPR and First Aide training. Hearts & Minds inspects the safety of the program’s environment and keeps our facility clean and neat.
