Mission Trips

We will leave Sunday morning July 11th and travel to the Youthworks mission site on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. We will serve on the reservation throughout the week.

All meals are covered while we are at the mission site but meals to and from the site will need to be covered by each individual.

We are still working on an activity on the return trip home. We are looking into going tubing down the Niobrara River. The cost of the activity is included in the cost of the trip.

We will break the cost of the trip up into 3 payments of $80.
First payment will be due in March, second payment in April, and the third in June.

We need students to sign up by January 24th to reserve their spot.

Past Trips

Noah's Ark Trip

In 2009 we went on an Adventure trip. We drove to the heart of Colorado, near Buena Vista, where we spent almost a week being face to face with God. We whitewater rafted though class 3 and 4 rapids. We went horseback riding in the through the mountains and across mountain streams. We also went rock climbing and rappeling. We rappeled down Bob's Rock that is 70 feet tall! Camp alongside the Arkansas river was awesome too. It was a great trip where we Encountered God in new and amazing ways.

Rocky Mountain High 2008
Rocky Mountain High 2008

In 2008 our summer trip was to Estes Park, Colorado where we attended Rocky Mountain High. RMH is a youth event that is held every three years and is designed to provide a large group experience for churched and non-churched young people that challenges them to begin or deepen a faith in Jesus Christ.

At the conference, students got to experience inspirational speakers and incredible worship led by VOTA (a/k/a Casting Pearls), Remedy Drive and Ali Rogers and also got to participate in activities such as horseback riding, mountain hiking, or various wilderness tours. Some spent the day shopping in Estes Park or swimming at the waterpark while others hung around camp and played mini golf, dodgeball, volleyball and so much more!

The theme of the week was "New Today" based on 2 Corinthians 5:17:  "If anyone is in Christ he is a new creation, the old is gone and the new has come."
