Prayer Warrior Role…
¨ Commit to praying daily for your child! This is the most important thing you do!
¨ Communicate with your child on a regular basis to let them know that you are praying for them and also inquire about what prayer needs they may have. This communication can be done by phone, notes in their church box, notes in the mail or in person in the church hallways. I will also be providing the kids with opportunities to write notes to you on a regular basis.
¨ Take interest in your child’s life. For example, if they have a piano recital or special event it would be great if you would like to attend. Or, if they have a birthday…recognize it.J Remember, a kind word, special hug, or a small token means the world to a child.
¨ Share prayer ideas with your child…model prayer for them. I’ll pass along ideas in this area for you to share with them in the coming months. Sharing what your favorite prayer was as a child or is as an adult would be a great place for them to start. Remember, these kids are in the early years of learning about and experiencing prayer.
¨ Allow God to lead and direct you in this important ministry. Nothing can replace the power of prayer in a child’s life!!!
